Graston Technique® for Auto Accident Injuries

Soft tissue injuries (STI) are when trauma or overuse occurs to muscles, tendons or ligaments. Most soft tissue injuries occur during sports and exercise activities, but sometimes simple everyday activities can cause an injury. Tendinitis and bursitis are common soft-tissue overuse injuries. Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and annoying.

The Graston Technique® (GT) therapy is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute or post-surgical. GT helps with acute and chronic injuries to fascia, tendons, muscle and scar tissue of all kinds. Dr. Caroline Johnston has completed both essential and advanced training in Graston Technique. In 2018 she was awarded the title of Graston Technique Specialist, which is the highest level of certification available. Dr. Caroline Johnston has been treating patients with Graston Technique since 2015.

GT uses specially designed stainless-steel instruments with unique treatment edges and angles to deliver an effective means of manual therapy. The use of GT instruments, when combined with appropriate therapeutic exercise, leads to the restoration of pain-free movement and function. The instruments also are used diagnostically to assess the kinetic chain, in an efficient manner using the principles of regional interdependence.

Fast Recovery

The technique and instruments used during the treatment process enable the treatment of scar tissue and fascial restrictions during rehabilitation that allows for faster rehabilitation and with greater success when the goal is restoring range of motion, eliminating pain, and bringing back normal function.

Less Treatment Time

In addition to accelerated recovery time your treatment time is also minimized. Typical treatment time is over a four-to-six-week period. You will have more time for you!
